Lasand la o parte diferenta de putere,as dori sa stiu si eu care din aceste 2 motoare sunt mai fiabile,mai economice,mai putin problematice.
Parerea mea ca 1.7 este un motor cu traditie la opel,fiind imbunatatit cu timpul si sau rezolvat problemele.
Sambata am mers cu o Astra 1.9CDTi 120CP si am ramas impresionat la cum mergea foarte activ raspunde imediat la accelerare,si la consum nu foarte mare(consum 5.7% in de la cluj la pitesti,in conditii de mers ceva mai sportiv) dar acest motor este facut de fiat cea ce lasa de dorit pentru ca fiat nu au facut niciodata motoare fiabile si daca au facut sunt foarte putine.

Motorul de 1.9CDTI nu este facut de Fiat ,imparte aceeasi platforma cu Opel,asta nu inseamna ca le cumpara nemtii si le aduc cu tirul in Germania.Toate piesele sunt facute de Opel,acum depinde ce vrei sa alegi.

Ambele motoare sunt fiabile,desi 1.7CDTI este un veteran cand vine vorba de durabilitate.Un motor si mai economic ar fi 1.3CDTI 90cp 6 trepte,cu distributia pe lant,din ce spun baietii pe AstraClub,pare sa fie un motor bun.

1.9 cdti este si pe fiat si pe opel ptr ca si Opel si Fiat ( de vreo 2 ani) sunt parte a grupului GM si beneficiaza la unele capitole de acelasi tratament din partea GM-ului

doar nu crezi ca se duc nemtii la italieni cu sacosa ptr a cumpara tocmai "un diesel"

Fiat si Opel NU sunt in GM. GM a avut un joint venture cu Fiat (au avut un portofoliu de actiuni la Fiat). Au inceput o colaborare si de aici au aparut si motoarele Fiat de pe Opel. Dar colaborarea a incetat si in acest moment Opel s-a reorientat spre un alt producator italian : VM. Noul diesel de 2.0 de pe Insignia e facut de VM.

The threatening world economic crisis began to create concern for Opel. In search of a strong partner, the Opel family came to terms with General Motors Corporation, which purchased the company in 1929. In 1935 at the Berlin Auto Show, Opel presented the first volume-produced German car with an integral all-steel frame and body, the Olympia 1.3 liter.

General Motors entered the European market only three years after the company's foundation in 1908. This involved the construction of Chevrolet cars in Denmark in 1923 and Belgium in 1925. This involvement was greatly expanded by the acquisitions of Vauxhall in 1925 and Opel in Germany in 1929. In 1986 GM bought Lotus group in England and 7 years later on August 27, 1993, GM sold the company, for £30 million to owners of Bugatti. GM acquired a 50 percent stake in Saab of Sweden in 1989, taking full ownership in 2000. General Motors also developed a partnership with and acquired a stake in Fiat in 2000. GM divested its minority equity interests and dissolved the partnership in 2005, following a legal fight regarding the conditions of a put option afforded Fiat.

In March 2000, the Italian automobile company, Fiat SpA, signed an agreement with the US-based General Motors, the world's largest car producer, which provides for an exchange of shares between the two companies and the creation of two joint ventures for the purchase and production of engines and gear equipment. This move - broadly welcomed by trade unions and other parties in Italy - suggests that the Italian model of "family-based capitalism" is moving towards a more "Anglo-Saxon" model (with a wider spread of shareholding and management power), in order to face up to the dangers and opportunities of globalisation.

The automobile sector of the US-based General Motors (GM) - with the Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet, Gmc, Golden, Oldsmobile, Pontiac, Saturn, Opel Vauxhall and Saab trademarks - is the world largest automobile producer. In 1999, it produced 8,786,000 vehicles, with an annual turnover of ITL 350,000 billion (EUR 181 billion). It has more than 388,000 employees. GM has 11.5% of the European automobile market and 12.6% of the world market.

Fiat Auto is the world's sixth-largest automobile producer (with 5% of the global market) and the seventh largest at European level (with 9.2% of the market). In 1999, it had a turnover of ITL 93,000 billion (EUR 48 billion) and produced 2,770,000 vehicles. It has 221,000 employees. Fiat Auto trademarks include Fiat, Alfa Romeo, Lancia, Ferrari and Maserati.

GM is present on the European market with the Opel Vauxhall trademark, which was bought by GM in 1929 and which produces in particular medium- and low-powered cars. The German market, where its main rival is Volkswagen, represents a little under half of Opel's production. Opel recorded a notable fall in sales in 1998; 1999 saw a slow recovery but the situation still remained critical, and major job losses are foreseen by 2003.

Economic globalisation, world competition and the consequent necessity of expanding markets beyond national and continental borders, have driven and are still driving many companies towards mergers and alliances. Furthermore, the automobile sector is one of the sectors that appears in greatest need of streamlining: current world demand is for no more than 50 million vehicles a year, while more than 60 million are produced.

Many automobile sector analysts predict that during the next few years the so-called "niche producers" will not survive and that the high level of competitiveness in the sector will reduce enormously the number of companies, with only a few producers able to make tremendous effort of productive and technological reorganisation required.

The Fiat-GM alliance
Fiat Auto has a long history in Italy. Since its foundation in 1899, it has been linked to the Agnelli family and has specialised in particular in the production of medium- and low-powered cars with low energy-consumption levels. It has always had a dominant position in the Italian market and in part of the European market. In 1998, Giovanni Agnelli left the presidency of Fiat and was replaced by Paolo Fresco, previously vice-president of the US-owned General Electric. This was the first sign that so-called "family-based capitalism", which has long marked the major Italian manufacturing firms, is shifting towards a more "Anglo-Saxon" capitalism characterised by a wider spread of shareholding and management power.

After many months of talks, which also considered the idea of a possible merger with the German/US Daimler-Chrysler or with GM itself, on 13 March 2000 Fiat SpA signed an agreement with General Motors. The agreement has a financial aspect and a production/industrial aspect.

On the financial side, GM will buy a 20% share in Fiat Auto, while Fiat SpA will receive in exchange 5.1% of GM's shares (though there will be no exchange of board representatives). The Fiat group will become GM's second-largest shareholder (the majority of the shares are in the hands of a US investment fund) and its leading industrial partner. The financial agreement provides also for the option, though not the obligation, of Fiat SpA offering - not sooner than three and half years, and not later than nine years from the signature of the agreement - the remaining 80% of its shares to GM, which will have a first option to purchase them.

The production and industrial alliance will take the form of two joint ventures (owned 50% by Fiat and 50% by GM): the first will conduct purchasing activities, while the second will produce engines and gear equipment. Cutting expenses will be the main policy as regards production. The future joint production of engines and gears will employ 35,000-45,000 workers and produce about 5 million components per year, with a turnover of ITL 20,000 billion (EUR 10.3 billion). The two groups will remain competitors in all other sectors. According to the projections of the companies' management, the new "synergies" between Fiat and GM will lead to savings in the purchase of other components of USD 1.2 billion per year starting from the third year and USD 2 billion from the fifth year.

As manufacturers look to the future, the new turbocharged 2.0 litre 120 CV common rail has to be the first choice for those looking for a cost effective solution to the EU. 4 regulations.
This engine has one of the leading torque / CV figures for its class. Technical features include a belt-driven single overhead camshaft with four valves per cylinder, and a central vertical direct injector with a zero degree, narrow valve angle. Finger followers, actuating two valves at a time, control the valve aperture. The engine features exhaust gas recirculation through the cylinder head. Twin gear-driven balance shafts are fitted in the oil sump for additional refinement. The vacuum pump is fitted to the alternator and, for greater efficiency, the oil pump is a rotary vane type.
The maximum torque of 260 Nm means strong pick up. The latest common rail and multi-valve technology gives class-leading economy and driveability matched with compliance with current and future known emissions regulations.The further addition of an optional VGT turbocharger further increases the power output to 150 CV and torque to 280 Nm.
This engine is not currently produced by VM Motori but is produced under license by GM Daewoo and Hyundai M.C. in versions suitable to the respective applications.

Acesta deezvolta o putere maxima de 250 CP si ofera un moment motor de 550 nm.

,,Compania rusa producatoare de automobile GAZ, care face parte din holdingul "Bazovii Element" a perfectat acordul de achizitie a 50 la suta din actiunile fabricantului italian de motoare diesel italian VM Motori, potrivit AGERPRES.
Potrivit estimarilor expertilor, suma afacerii se ridica la aproximativ 100 de milioane de dolari. Concernul american General Motors detine restul actiunilor si managementul financiar si de control. Motoarele diesel VM Motori sunt folosite in prezent la automobilele usoare din clasa Maxus, fabricate de compania britanica LDV Holdings, care apartine Companiei producatoare de automobile GAZ.
In viitor, cu aceste motoare vor fi dotate si automobilele Maxus asamblate in Rusia si automobilele din clasa GAZel identice cu cele de tip Maxus, fabricate la Nijni Novgorod. Se preconizeaza ca fabricarea motoarelor de tip diesel VN Motori va fi lansata si in Rusia. ''

Si ca o mica completare, din cate stiu eu, intotdeauna la capitolul motorizari performante, italienii au ocupat un loc de frunte.In domeniul auto, italienii sunt recunoscuti pentru aceasta aptitudine a lor, inclusiv design caroserii, deservind marii constructori auto germani la proiectarea designului caroseriilor.

FIAT a facut numai motoare bune ! Fiat sta prost la calitatea materialelor din care face piesele pentru motoarele lor ..... ca si pt caroserie, etc ...... DCI lui Renaullt e dezvoltat tot de Fiat .... in materi de GPL, cei mai buni de pe planeta .... italienii, ca si romanii ---- latini, care au ceva inteligenta .... chiar se apropie de romani .... dar .... romanii au o mare buba --- sunt usor de manevrat, sunt lasi si nu au sange in instalatie .....

Vã salut posesorilor de OPEL. Sunt nou în club dar în trecut am mai citit pe forum discuþiile unora dintre voi referitoare la diverse probleme. Sunt de multã vreme posesorul unei ASTRA G 1.7 DTI, an fabricaþie 2000 ºi am cu ea 285.000 km fãrã probleme majore. Motoraºul ãsta ISUZU e belea la fiabilitate. Problemele pe care le-am avut la maºinã în decursul timpului au fost doar cele electrice bine cunoscute ºi de voi: alternatorul, termoflotul... În perioada urmãtoare vreau sã o vând, am deja client, cu un preþ relativ de nimic, având în vedere faptul cã maºina e înmatriculatã în RO din 2005, nu are taxa achitatã. Optez sã-mi iau un GOLF V, 1.9 TDI, 105 cp de prin 2004-2005 însã e posibil sã nu am destui bani, în consecinþã cred cã voi rãmâne la OPEL ºi voi lua un H. Cunosc motorizãrile disponibile pe H-uri din 2004,2005 incoace ºi vreau sã vã rog, pe cei care dispuneþi ºi folosiþi H-ul zilnic, sã-mi recomandaþi motorizarea cea mai potrivitã raport consum, calitate, fiabilitate, pret. Eu voi folosi maºina mai mult la drumuri medii ºi lungi. Din cercetãrile fãcute aº opta fie pentru 1.7 cdti 101 cp cu turbina cu geometrie variabilã sau pentru un 1.9 cdti 101 cp simplu....ambele fãrã FILTRU DE PARTICULE. Vã rog sã mã sprijiniþi cu informaþii reale ºi serioase. Bugetul de care dispun acum pentru H este de 4000 EURO. Vreau sã o aduc din GERMANIA personal, unde sunt foarte multe de vânzare, cu mai toate motorizãrile ca preþ undeva între 3000-4000 euro. Ms, aºtept reply-uri! Servus

daca te duci in germania dupa masina sa nu cumperi decat din parcuri auto la care propietarii sant nemti si care sa nu aibe angajati romani! daca iti cauti ca marca opel model astra h iti recomand motorul de 1,9 de 120 cp! este mai bun ca cel de 1,7 de 100 si 110 cp! consuma si mai putin! spun asta pentru ca am avut toate variantele de opel astra! ca motorizare! nu recomand sub nici o forma motorizarea de 1.3!

Recomand si eu motorul de 1.9 88kw ,120 cp(astra h), in afara de o mica problema cu electrovlava turbo si egr nu am avut nici un fel de problema. Consum in oras in jur de 8 ,dar am avut si 10-11 in zilele cu trafic intens si mers bara la bara,mers in afara orasului sub 6,e sportiv,demaraj bun,cuplu de-ajuns zic eu, multumit.Daca a-ti gasi si varianta fara filtru de particule nemontat din fabrica , ar fi super!
