Angel eyes is a name of headlight feature like BMW 5 Series, which is a pair of circular-shape light rings.
I have now succeeded in making perfect angel eyes on celica in the point of brightness, color, and lighting pattern.
This page shows how I made angel eyes, but the procedure is very time-consuming, needs patience, and some experiences.
BMW used a round glass rod, but we couldn't make it. So I decided to use a clear acrlyic rod.
I used on with the 5mm diameter.
First step is to bend the rod into the round shape to fit into our car.
Heat it until be soften. Be careful not to make a fire on i
I found the aluminum bottle which has the same diameter as the projector light lens.
After heating, you could bend it into the round shape by hands.
Dont forget to wear the gloves.
Cut the rod by sanding machine.

To refract the light and make the light ring, scratch (half-cut in other words) behind the ring.
Don't do it at one time. Check the light effect, and repeat the procedures.
I made a test machine to examine how it will light up.
Now, many bright LEDs are available.
But the white is the only one legal color.
Red is the brightest.
From the back side, you can see the scratches directly :
but from the front side, scratch will make a clear straight liken because of the lens effect.
BMW used halogen light, but I chose LED for several reasons instead.
Color, quick response, long life is the reason. In addition, LED produce little heat which might damage the rod.
White bright LEDs with the diameter of 5mm.
Cut the long and short foot of a pair of LEDs.
Make it into a pair by soldering the cutten foot.
LEDs are sensitive to heat, so you must check it after soldering.
Connect the resistor, and the power. Appropriate ohm depends on the type of LEDs.
Small clear rubber caps for flat connector was used to connect between LEDs and ring.
These will hidden the LEDs and soldering.
Looks great! Time to install into the head light.
By sanding the back side lightly, you can make whitish rings

Angel eyes for low beam projector.
Drill the two small holes.
Insert the foot of LED into the holes.
Fix the ring by sticking clear adhesive tapes behind the ring.
Don't use bond. It would make rings cloudy and darker.
Angel eyes for high beam was also installed. Drill the two small holes.
Put LED foots into the holes, and fix the ring using small bit of plastic bond in the bottom of the ring.
Make the wirings from back side. Use the black (which means invisible) wirings.
Test shot. Don't forget to use the resistor.
Put back the light housing, and make the power wirings from position bulb.
